Why this exists
Supplying credits to other marketplaces means we get to watch, from the inside, what happens when a twelve-person company decides to do something about its emissions. They are told to measure everything first. Then to assess projects they have no way to assess. Then to open a registry account, or find a broker who will take an order that small, or sign up to a platform with a monthly fee and a dashboard full of charts.
Most of them stop somewhere in the middle. Not because they stopped caring, but because every step assumed they had a sustainability team. The complexity is real — carbon markets are genuinely complicated — but almost none of it needs to be the customer's problem. It is work that can be done once, properly, by people who do it for a living.
So we did it once. We vetted the projects, bought and hold the credits, packaged them into five blends, and reduced the buying experience to picking one and typing a number. What comes back is proof with serial numbers on it.
Simplicity wins. That is the whole thesis.
How we make decisions
Four rules. They settle most arguments about what to build.
We hold the credits
We run our own registry accounts, primarily on Verra. When you buy here you are buying from the desk that owns the inventory, not from a reseller three steps removed who has to go and find it. That is why an order completes the same day instead of in three weeks.
One decision, not forty
Every feature earns its place by removing a decision. Five baskets, not four thousand projects. One number to enter. Retirement by default. The advanced version of everything exists, one click away, for the minority who want it.
Proof, not reassurance
A certificate that says "you are carbon neutral" is marketing. A certificate that lists the projects, vintages and registry serial numbers is evidence. We issue the second kind, with a public link, and we leave a serial blank rather than print one nobody has checked.
Honest about the limits
Offsetting does not reduce your emissions and this market has real quality problems. We would rather tell you that than sell you a story you will have to defend later to a customer or a regulator.
What we will not do
- Require a measurement before you are allowed to buy. It is a tab, not a gate.
- Hide the projects behind a portfolio name. Everything in every basket is named, rated and linked to its registry record.
- Charge a subscription to look at your own certificates, or lock the sensible option behind an enterprise call.
- Sell you a claim we would not be comfortable defending on your behalf to a journalist.
