Essentials Basket
The straightforward way to cover your footprint
A mixed avoidance portfolio of clean cooking, safe water and grid renewables, priced for businesses buying carbon credits for the first time.
Essentials is the default choice. It spreads every tonne across four registered avoidance projects on three continents so that no single project, country or technology carries your whole purchase. Clean cooking and safe water deliver the household health and time-saving benefits that SMEs care about reporting, while landfill gas capture and Indian utility-scale solar add cheap, high-volume, well-audited tonnes that keep the blended price low. Everything in here is verified under Verra VCS or Gold Standard and retired in your name.

DelAgua Clean Cooking Grouped Project in Rwanda
Part of the Tubeho Neza programme, which gives fuel-efficient improved cookstoves to rural Rwandan households free of charge and is funded entirely by carbon finance. Verra reports the stoves use 71 percent less firewood than the traditional three-stone fire they replace.

Registry listing140 MW Solar Photovoltaic Project in Rajasthan
A 140 MW solar photovoltaic plant at Bhadla, Jodhpur, exporting to the Indian grid and displacing largely coal-fired generation. Rated BB rather than higher because utility-scale Indian solar is now commercially mainstream, which weakens the additionality case.

Registry listingRenewable Solar Power Project by Mahindra Renewables Private Limited
Grid-connected solar generation in Madhya Pradesh that diversifies the Indian grid mix away from fossil generation. Included as a small, cheap, high-volume sleeve; like other Indian solar it carries weaker additionality than the rest of the basket.
