5MW Biomass Based Cogeneration Project at Sainsons

SPIL has implemented a 5 MW cogeneration power project based on rice husk. The power will be produced by 5MW extraction-cum-condensing steam turbine with alternator. Major equipment of the power project comprises of 50 tonne per hour (TPH) capacity single drum travel grate type boiler. The average inflow of extraction steam is 30 tonne per hour, which is used for process steam requirement in the paper machine section.
